Laneway Festival – 7 February

Each year St Jerome’s Laneway Festival brings a stellar line-up of international and Australian contemporary music acts to perform by the waters at Port Adelaide. This year’s program boasts the likes of The 1975, Charli XCX, Tones & I, Ocean Alley and Fontaines DC. As usual, there will also be a range of food and drink options, as well as crafts and merchandise on sale. With the event likely to sell out, be quick to grab a ticket.

Adelaide Fringe – 14 February to 15 March

Location: locations around the Adelaide CBD and suburbs.

 

Adelaide Fringe is the largest open access arts festival in the southern hemisphere, and the 2020 event promises to be bigger than ever as Fringe turns 60 years old. With a truly diverse program, patrons can choose from music, cabaret, comedy, theatre, magic, visual art and dance. There’s everything from children’s entertainment to late night adults only shows, with more than 1200 individual events on offer over the month long festival. And there’s also a great variety of venues hosting shows, from the outdoor hubs with tented spaces such as Gluttony and the Garden of Unearthly Delights in the city’s east end to theatres, bars and pop up spaces across Adelaide. Superloop Adelaide 500 – 20 to 23 February

Cost: Adult General Admission tickets from $45, with 4 day passes from $200

Location: Adelaide 500 track, Adelaide CBD East End

 

This annual four-day program of elite motorsport returns to Adelaide, culminating in the Virgin Australia Supercar racing on the Sunday. This year sees the return the traditional rivalry between Ford and Holden, with all Mustangs and Commodores accounting for all the participating vehicles. As well as the on-track action, patrons can enjoy a range of entertainment and hospitality options, particularly with the after-race concert series across the Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. This year’s performers include Hilltop Hoods, G-Flip, Illy, Grinspoon, Superjesus, Sneaky Sound System, Pete Murray, Sheppard and a host of emerging South Australian acts via the Bands on Track program.
