Australia's most famous wine producing region - is a magnet for wine connoisseurs from all over the world. The cellar doors are always open, playing host to many annual festivals. The Gourmet Weekend, Wine Show, Music Festival & Vintage Festival to name a few. The buildings display the hallmarks of the six generations of English and German settlers, the romantic stone buildings hide restaurants, bakeries and smoke houses inside their historical facades. This is a must destination for anyone touring South Australia.

This picturesque town of distinct Germanic origins was named after Captain Dick Hahn who brought 187 Lutheran settlers to South Australia to flee religious persecution. The town that they founded is a declared heritage listed area and also the regions main tourist destination. The tree-lined main street adds to the fairy tale appeal of this wonderful Adelaide Hills community.
