Tour Down Under – 10th to 20th January

The opening event of the UCI WorldTour and the biggest cycling race in the southern hemisphere, the Tour Down Under brings the very best cyclists to Adelaide for 11 days in January. The event visit locations such as Norwood, Glenelg, Port Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide CBD across its various stages. Accompanying the race is the Festival of Cycling, offering opportunities to get involved, food and wine experiences, and a free team presentation concert on Saturday 12th January. Big Bash League – various dates in January

Location: Adelaide Oval and Karen Rolton Oval

Defending champions of the KFC Big Bash League, the Adelaide Strikers will host matches at the iconic Adelaide Oval on January 6th, 11th and 21st. Meanwhile, the Strikers also compete in Rebel WBBL season from their new home ground base in Adelaide’s western parklands on January 8thand 9th, following the $10 million development of Karen Rolton Oval.

These Twenty20 fixtures really are summer’s most exciting sports entertainment.

Florence + The Machine in concert, 16th January

Location: Adelaide Botanic Park

Cost: tickets from $99.90 (plus booking fee)

January is the perfect time of year for an outdoor concert in the beautiful surrounds of Adelaide’s Botanic Park. Touring on the back of the acclaimed album, High as Hope, Florence + The Machine will perform as part of their Australian tour, supported by Billie Eilish and Marlon Williams.
