National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant – 9 November

Location: Adelaide CBD

There’s an extended route, some new floats and a different naming sponsor, but the Adelaide Christmas Pageant has a history that goes back to 1933. More than 300,000 people turn up each year to launch the festive season in Adelaide as the colour and activity of the pageant winds its way through the streets of the CBD. It all kicks off from 9:30 am, but be sure to get there early to secure a spot as things get busy!

Edinburgh Air Show – 9 to 10 November

Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA

Showcasing aviation technology, with a view to both the past and the future, this two-day event in the northern suburbs of Adelaide opens up the RAAF base to the general public. With four hours of flying displays each day and more than 60 exhibitors in the commercial trade hall, there’s plenty on offer for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.

The Mitsubishi Motors Australian International 3 Day Event (MMAus3DE) – November 14

Cost: $12.26 – $725.03

Location: Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi Australia’s premier equestrian event and one of only two international sporting events held in Adelaide annually.
 The equestrian 3 day event – commonly known as ‘Eventing’ is the triathlon of horse sport comprising the three phases of dressage, cross country and jumping over three days on the same horse. U2 Adelaide Tour
U2: The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 – 19 November

Location: Adelaide Oval

The last time U2 played here in 2006, 60,000 people turned up, setting a new attendance record for concerts in Adelaide. This time the Irish band is returning to celebrate their seminal 1987 LP, The Joshua Tree, performing the whole album in full along with a host of songs from their extensive back-catalogue in what promises to be one of the most spectacular gigs of the year.

SA Music Awards – 22 November

Location: Bonython Hall

The South Australian music industry’s night of nights, featuring people’s choice honours, industry-chosen awards and performances from some of the state’s best music talent. Now in its fourth year since taking over from the Fowler’s Live Music Awards, past SAM Awards winners include the likes of Tkay Maidza, Bad//Dreems, West Thebarton, A.B. Original and Adrian Eagle. This year’s event is hosted by Triple J’s Declan Byrne and promises to be a fantastic celebration of contemporary music.

Domain Day-Night Test: Australia v Pakistan – 29 November to 3 December

Location: Adelaide Oval

Day-Night Test Cricket returns to Adelaide Oval this November, with Australia taking on Pakistan in the second and final match of the series. The fixture will mark the first time Pakistan has played a test at the venue in 30 years. In 2015, Adelaide Oval was the pioneer stadium for test cricket under lights, hosting the first event of its kind in the world. Tickets have always proved popular, with the option of twilight sessions available, so book in advance for the best seats.
